Meal Periods

In Oregon, an uninterrupted 30-minute meal period must be given for each consecutive 6.5 hours worked.

Your employer cannot deduct time from your wages for lunches that are:

  • Less than 30 minutes, or
  • If you are required to perform any work, or
  • If you are on call during your lunch
If you believe that your employer has improperly deducted lunch time from your wages, please contact us by phone or email, or fill out the questionnaire and we will contact you.
